With the RefMap project drawing to a close in the coming months, on January 21st project partners will be presenting key work accomplished by the consortium in a webinar titled "Integrated Environmental Modelling for Sustainable Aviation and Urban Air Mobility", hosted by EUROCONTROL.

This webinar, first of the series "Aviation Twin Transition (ATT) Cluster: From Research to Results" webinars, will showcase software tools from RefMap and other projects of the Aviation Twin Transition Cluster (ATTC) designed to assess the environmental footprint of aviation and Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) operations.

Participants in the webinar will explore advanced modeling capabilities for emissions, noise, and air quality, supporting detailed local and regional impact analysis. The session will highlight how these tools enable scenario testing and policy evaluation, helping integrate sustainability into airspace and urban mobility planning.

Funded by the European Commission, members of the ATTC are working to develop and demonstrate new technologies that further digitalise and automate the environmental impact of the European aviation sector. Our vision is to make aviation greener, more circular, and globally competitive.

About the Series

The ATT webinars form part of EUROCONTROL’s UAS Webinar Series – Inside the Enablers, a regular webinar series focused on sharing insights, developments, and practical experiences from across the drone and unmanned systems sector.

Each session features contributions from stakeholders, professionals and organizations working in various parts of the industry, covering topics such as operations, technology, regulations, and applications. The series is designed to support knowledge exchange and foster a better understanding of how drones are being used in different contexts. It’s open to anyone interested in the evolving role of unmanned systems in industry and society.
