Abstract
The present report aims to give an overview of the ethical implications and mitigation
strategies that will be applied during the entire lifetime of the European project RefMap.
RefMap promotes a more digital, intermodal and sustainable air transport in agreement
with the guidelines of the European Commission in the matter of green economy. To
this aim, the project intends to apply the deep-learning methodology for the
optimisation of the trajectories for the traditional aviation and the drones finalised to
the reduction of the noise impact and pollution in the cities. The AI developed by the
consortium is trained using available data in literature or made available by public or
private agencies. For this reason, the data collection is subjected to ethical restrictions.
During the project a mailing list will be created to inform the principal stakeholders on
the development of the project and the latest news about the published papers. For
this reason, all the personal data that are collected from the subscription to the mailing
list or the website will be processed in accordance with European legislation EU GDPR
Directive 2016/680[1]
During the project, the results produced by each partner are subject to the copyright
and the rules for the access to these data are established by the Intellectual Property
Rights (IPR). Only the partners can modify the data and use them for any purpose
linked to the aims of RefMap. However, the exchange of data and information needs a
management data system.
This document will be updated if necessary for the entire project lifetime.
