Description

A report on research ethics monitoring and compliance to data protection requirements during the project. This report will also make sure that, according to task 1.3, the AI-based part of the system is ethical, lawful and robust.

Abstract

This deliverable, D1.8 Research Ethics Monitoring Report, documents the implementation and continuous monitoring of ethical standards within the project (Refining Environmental Footprints Mapping for Sustainable Aviation, Grant Agreement No. 101096698). Developed under Work Package 1 (WP1), the report evaluates how the consortium has ensured compliance with European Union ethical principles, national legal frameworks, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) throughout the project lifecycle.
This report provides a comprehensive overview of the mechanisms established to safeguard ethical integrity, research transparency, and data protection during the execution of .
The ethical monitoring activities confirm that operates under a solid ethics and data-protection framework. No sensitive personal data has been processed, all Work Packages adhere to GDPR principles, and research outputs consist exclusively of technical and environmental datasets. Partners have implemented appropriate data security, minimisation, and documentation practices, and no ethics or data-protection incidents were reported during the monitoring period.
Overall, ’s ethics monitoring confirms full compliance with EU and national ethical requirements. No ethical or data-protection issues were identified, and the consortium maintains a transparent and responsible approach to research, data management, and governance.
