The RefMap project is pleased to announce its return to Airspace World, taking place this year in Lisbon from 13 to 15 May 2025. After participating in the Airspace World 2024, this year RefMap will be exhibiting at Booth H21450, showcasing the solutions developed by our interdisciplinary consortium. The visitors will be able to experience the platform developed by the project first-hand through live demonstrations at the RefMap booth. The demonstrations will be delivered by project partner Future Needs, which leads the dissemination activities and contributes to key research within RefMap.
RefMap platform provides a digital service to help airlines and drone operators reduce their environmental impact by optimising flight paths. By factoring in real-time data on wind patterns, emissions, and noise pollution, the platform supports operational decisions that reduce fuel consumption and minimise environmental footprint.
The project leverages a powerful combination of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and advanced environmental modelling to provide insights at both individual flight and network levels — laying the groundwork for greener aviation practices supported by robust data.
📍 Booth H21450 — Live Demonstration Schedule
Tuesday 13 May: 11:00, 13:00, 15:00
Wednesday 14 May: 11:00, 13:00, 15:00
Thursday 15 May: 11:00, 13:00
Additionally, our key partner AgentFly Technologies invites the event participants at their booth H21360. AgentFly has developed a cutting-edge simulation platform that models a wide range of air traffic scenarios — an integral component of the RefMap system.
During the whole event, aviation and drone experts are invited to give their feedback on our solutions and contribute to shaping the future of sustainable aviation. Your contribution is invaluable for our research. Following interviews with sector's stakeholders, Future Needs, leading the product validation research in RefMap, will conduct a short on-site survey which will support developing solutions tailored to the end users' needs.
Feel free to connect with our parntners representing the project in the event to arrange a meeting with them: Anna Palaiologk, Chariton Palaiologk, Georgina Siitta, Georgia Nikolakopoulou, Milan Rollo, Niki Krousouloudi, Premysl Volf. We look forward to welcoming you in Lisbon and sharing how RefMap is advancing a more efficient and environmentally responsible future for aviation!
